Wendy has almost certainly saved my life. I can't be any more dramatic than that can I? When I first went to see her at the Harbour Club we had to abandon the session after 20 minutes so I could go and lie down in a darkened room frantically sucking air and eating bananas to try and revive my flagging torso. I was 37, and suffering the inevitable physical consequence of a decade editing national newspapers - with all the lunches, dinners, and endless rather stressful moments that entails. Wendy was blunt with me: 'Piers, you are going to die soon if you don't get fit.' She was joking, but probably right too. Today I can run for 20 minutes without collapsing, row in a way that Steve Redgrave wouldn't roll his eyes at (well not both of them anway), I've lost a bit of weight, and developed enough muscle to be able to walk down a beach without kids shouting 'who ate all the pies?' at me. What's been most remarkable about this transformation is that I have actually enjoyed the experience. And that is entirely down to Wendy's incredible enthusiasm, good humour, boundlesss patience, determination and sound advice. I have the attention span of a gnat so she keeps me interested by constantly changing our routine so I never have time to get bored. Wendy is fantastic at her job, a great laugh, and also totally discreet, which in my case is just as well..trust me! I would recommend her as a personal trainer to anyone who doesn't want to die young, and who wants to get fit while having a lot of fun too.

I am sure many lovely things have been said about Wendy on this site…yes she is charming, yes she is funny, yes she is gorgeous…and those are, no doubt, all terrific qualities to have , and make training with her a pleasure! She does not have some rigid training schedule or methodology... we are all different, we all love and hate different aspects about training and Wendy takes the trouble to find that out and then creates a programme to suit. I first met Wendy when getting over (slowly!) the birth of my first daughter. She was recommended by a friend as I was having a hellish time in getting back a strong pelvic floor (not to mention a flat tummy!!) My obstetrician was even thinking that I may need surgery to correct it. However, having embarked on an intensive re-hab. programme with Wendy, I went back for a further check-up with my obstetrician, whose eyes lit up cheekily as he tested me and found the (I quote) “secret of my success”! He announced that I would need no treatment at all and that my husband was a very lucky man!!! A very embarrassing, but rewarding moment.
Wendy has since seen me through two more pregnancies, and due to her care and attention, I have had no more problems with pelvic floor weakness, and have kept strong and fit throughout.

I see Wendy three times a week when pregnant, and four when not. I find Wendy to be motivating, fabulous company even during a tough work-out, always full of energy and very inspiring indeed. I would recommend Wendy to anyone wanting to improve their feelings of well-being as well, obviously, as their fitness level and body shape

Having heard wonderful things about Wendy and subsequently witnessing her in action, I begged her to train me several years ago and despite a full schedule she took me on. I was fairly fit and in shape but a totally de-motivated and 'exercised out' chocoholic. Wendy rose to the challenge and soon introduced me to an entirely different way of approaching my diet and exercise programme and I haven't looked back. Wendy is fantastic fun, inspirational and hugely motivating whatever the goal, and mine change often. I very much look forward to our sessions and her enthusiasm and encouragement motivates me to also train alone and stay off the chocolate, albeit in denial! Wendy is extremely knowledgeable in her approach to both the physical and psychological side to exercise, no session is ever the same as she always has a new exercise or nutrition tip to offer, always delivered with positive attitude, enormous energy and a smile! My weekly 'Wendy fix' always lifts that little black cloud, sends me off full of endorphins and into those skinny jeans, I cannot recommend her highly enough ... and my husband agrees she's a very sound investment too!

There are personal trainers and then there is Wendy… She goes the distance with you, be it to the bottom of your road or to run your first marathon.
