| As
a child, Wendy used to watch the London Marathon on TV dreaming
that one day she would run it too. In 1995, Wendy decided to
begin training for her first Marathon. In the beginning, even
running a mile was difficult - the thought of having to run
26 seemed virtually impossible. Slowly, week by week, Wendy
increased her mileage and the number of blisters! Running her
first 10 km in Regents Park followed by the Camberley ½
marathon were huge milestones but nothing could ever be compared
to completing her first London Marathon in 1996.
Since then Wendy has completed a further 5 Marathons, competed
in the International Running Challenge in Lanzarote, climbed
Mt Kilimanjaro for the charity Whizz Kidz and has successfully
trained a large number of clients to realise their own ‘marathon
dream’.
