the past 5 years Wendy has been responsible for pre and post
natal training at the Harbour Club, Chelsea. Wendy strongly
believes that the more active you are during your pregnancy,
the stronger your body will be able to cope with the birthing
process and the healing process thereafter. During pregnancy,
the body is subjected to many physical and psychological changes
e.g. changes in postural alignment, increased levels of certain
hormones, many of which can be addressed through a tailored
and structured exercise programme.
A good, carefully planned exercise programme during pregnancy
can help strengthen the core abdominal muscles, reduce the
incidence of back pain and promote a general feeling of wellbeing.
Wendy always encourages her clients to listen to their bodies
during pregnancy and to keep well hydrated. Exercises which
were normally done before the pregnancy may no longer be appropriate
and therefore modifications will be necessary. Based on her
many years of experience, Wendy can discuss a safe and effective
programme to meet your specific needs.
Following the birth, the programme is further modified to
help you get your pre pregnancy shape back as soon as possible.
